If you're a local in San Diego, you have seen photos on the internet, or attended a wedding at the Marriage Hut by Pacific Highway. The actual ceremony takes no more than 5 minutes. Everything happens fairly fast 😅 and it has to be that way. They have so many weddings to conduct by the minute.
That's a good reason why couples incline to not tell anyone and just live that experience by themselves. Even when you invite a small group of people (5-8 guests) it's quite a hustle to coordinate schedules, make sure everyone is on time that day, find a restaurant that everyone likes, etc.
Edna and Russ was one of those couples. It was a very special day for the two of them, so they wanted to celebrate it alone. By their terms.
I was the lucky San Diego wedding photographer they picked to join them and document the very start of their life as husband and wife. We met at the entrance of the building, said hi, and the rest of the story can be told by looking at the photos we created.
